Premier League Build up

This weekend brings premier league fans some fantastic matches. It all starts off with Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham have struggled to get back on track since Mourinho replaced Pochettino. Pochettino worked wonders with the North London club, securing regular Champions League football all whilst they moved into a new stadium. Whilst Liverpool, who lost a champions league final in 2018 went on to win the tournament and have been very impressive in the league, Tottenham have been left behind. After a string of poor performances and results, Pochettino was sacked.

Now with Mourinho in charge, Tottenham still seems to have the same problems. If Spurs do not invest in their team in this transfer window, fans will rightly point the finger at the board, who have failed to invest in their team during a vital time in the club’s history.

Nigel Pearson, former Leicester manager, has made the Hornets into a side that is very tough to beat. They are now out of the bottom three, after looking like one of the favorites to go down, they are finally showing some fight.

This will be an interesting match as Tottenham look to move up to sixth and Watford looks to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Saturday’s three O’clock matches are bottom of the table scrap Brighton vs Aston villa, Second place Manchester City vs Crystal Palace, West Ham vs Everton, Arsenal vs Sheffield United, Norwich vs Bournemouth, and Southampton vs Wolves.

Saturday night's late match is Newcastle United vs Chelsea. Frank Lampard’s side was the epitome of inconsistent in the first half of this season. This was summed up when they drew against Southampton on boxing day right after their most complete performance of the season when they beat Spurs 2-0. Despite the inconsistent performances, Chelsea sit 4th in the league, an impressive feat as they have both a young team and a young manager.

There was a lot of pressure at the start of the season on Steve Bruce, which was expected as he replaced Rafa Benitez as manager of Newcastle. The Magpies sit in mid-table, which is realistically the most they could hope for at this stage of the season. Newcastle fans have seen some big performance from club-record transfer Miguel Almiron.

There are two matches on Sunday, they are Burnley vs Leicester and Liverpool vs Manchester United. Both should be fantastic matches, but, Liverpool vs Manchester United is one of the fixtures of the season.

Liverpool are flying this season. With a 14-point lead between them and second place city and one game in hand, they seem to be unstoppable. Manchester United will be hoping they can be the first team to beat Liverpool this season, which would give their rivals Manchester City a major boost in the title race.

Jurgen Klopp’s team will be firm favorites going into this match, however, form usually goes out the window in this fixture. A match with a long history and something more than just a football match for both sets of fans.

Manchester United face a tough task to beat the world club champions, and they will be without top scorer Marcus Rashford.

You won’t want to miss a minute of this match, so make sure to tune in by using one of the VPNs for the EPL listed above.

I’m an Aussie and I must say that Fox Sports lost broadcasting rights to the EPL to Optus years ago
