The Best way to watch the EPL in the UK
With the EPL season now underway, here are the best options for streaming matches online with a VPN:
Sky Sports and BT Sport
Sky Sports and BT Sport have exclusive live broadcasting rights for the vast majority of Premier League football matches. Both of those British services are subscription services, which means there is usually no way to watch matches without paying.
Most people consider Sky Sports to be the best way to stream the EPL, but this comes with a lengthy contract. Fortunately, NowTV is a UK streaming service owned by Sky that lets you purchase weekly or monthly passes to Sky Sports. A NowTV Sky Sports Pass costs £9.98 a day (US ~$13.73), £33.99 (US ~$46.90) a month, or £200 (US ~$275.71) for the whole season (10 months).
If you pay for a British Sky Sports account, you can use the Sky Go App to watch Premiership matches on two devices. BT Sport customers, on the other hand, can either watch the football in their browser – or by using the BT Sport app for iOS or Android.
BBC iPlayer
The BBC is showing some live EPL matches for free this season. And, you can use a VPN to access BBC iPlayer to stream highlights of the EPL each week on Match of the Day and Match of the Day 2.
Using a VPN to unblock iPlayer and stream free EPL content is extremely easy, so you have no reason not to enjoy at least some EPL football. So far, the BBC has announced that it will be broadcasting Leicester vs Burnley on the 20th of September.
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime has revealed which matches it'll be broadcasting – and there are 20 high-stakes games in the pipeline across two rounds of fixtures. You'll be able to tune in to two weeks of games; the first starts on Tuesday 30th November, and the second on 28th December.
Premier League fans can look forward to some cracking matches, including Arsenal's trip to Old Trafford, as well as the Merseyside derby. During the second round of games on the 28th December, Liverpool have another tough fixture as they travel to Leicester for a blockbuster clash, whilst Premier League new boys Brentford host champions Man City.
The Amazon matches can be streamed on just about any device – smart TVs and consoles included – and there's even a 30-day free trial available. Alternatively, you can use a VPN! Watching Premier League matches via Amazon Prime is simple. All you'll need to do is use your VPN to subscribe to Prime as though you were in the UK. That'll give you a UK Prime account, and grant you automatic access to all the action.
Can I watch Premier League for free?
Sky TV and Amazon broadcast a handful of matches for free last season, and you can check out match recaps and summaries on BBC's Match of the Day without paying a penny. So, it's well worth investing in a low-cost VPN subscription to stay up to date with all the football this season.
Subscriptions to streaming services can be expensive, and if you're a fan of British football without the means to pay for Amazon Prime or Sky Sports, a VPN is your best bet. With one, you'll be able to watch tons of matches – minus the hefty price tags!

Premier League: what will the season hold?
Although the first round of premier league games have been played and meticulously combed over for talking points and analysis, it's still too early to make educated predictions on how the season will pan out. Fans are now back in stadiums and will be providing their home sides with much-needed support, which will change the dynamic of these fixtures for away teams that spent most of last season playing behind closed doors. The transfer window is also far from over, with teams still rushing to make deals before the end-of-august deadline.
Manchester City have already smashed the British transfer record through their acquisition of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for an eye-watering £100m, and Harry Kane, who missed the opening premier league game of the season as well as Spurs' Europa Conference League fixture this week, could be close behind. Elsewhere, Romelu Lukaku made his Chelsea return in a deal worth £97.5m. Fellow title contenders Liverpool have had a quiet window so far and are largely focusing on the return of captain Virgil van Dijk, but still splashed out £36m on Ibrahima Konate.
Elsewhere, highly-rated Serie A defender Cristián Romero put pen to paper for Tottenham for around £47m, and Ex-Brighton defender joined Arsenal for £50m shortly after attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia snubbed the gunners to sign for Aston Villa in a £38m move. The Birmingham outfit have been busy filling the Grealish-shaped hole in their squad in a transfer window that has also seen them sign Southampton goal-machine Danny Ings. Meanwhile, Manchester United have secured the services of Real Madrid man Raphael Varane and coughed up £73m to bring Jadon Sancho from Dortmund. Leicester City, keen to build on last season's FA Cup triumph, have signed Patson Daka from RB Salzburg for a reported £23m. Looking further down the table, Newcastle finally got their hands on Arsenal youngster Joe Willock for around £25m.
Who will win the title?
The vast majority of football fans and pundits are still tipping Manchester City to win the title despite their opening day loss to Tottenham. A 38-game season is a grueling ordeal even for the most finely tuned athletes, and the superior depth of Manchester City's squad – compared to other title challengers – means betting on the Citizens to be crowned eventual champions might be a shrewd move.
However, Chelsea look, on paper, a force to be reckoned with since signing Romelu Lukaku. Of course, any Champions League winning team has a shot at triumph in the domestic competition – especially one that won Europe's elite prize without a central striker of note – but the blues have really upgraded in the forwards department for this season and could push Man City all the way.
Manchester United fans, after many years of justified pessimism, may think this squad has a genuine chance at lifting some silverware. They seemed to have plugged their problem areas with the signing of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, although it will be intriguing to see how the latter adapts to the speed of the Premier League having spent his formative years in Spain. The Red Devils have been a story of steady improvement under boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær, but some are still convinced the Norwegian's lack of experience and subsequent tactical limitations will see United lose out to the teams around them.
Liverpool haven't been talked about as title contenders nearly as much as they should be in the build-up to this season. an injury-blighted 2020/21 campaign saw them finish third with several key players missing. They may not have signed many players in this window, but they've looked impressive in pre-season and are still, by some way, the best pressing team in the Premier League (and perhaps the world). There are going to be guaranteed goals with Mohamed Salah upfront, so it would be stupid to discount a squad that have won both the Premier League and Champions League in the past three years.
Which teams could be in trouble?
Arsenal and Tottenham seem equally rudderless at the moment, with the latter's new manager recently admitting he hadn't spoken to Harry Kane, Spurs' star – and reportedly want away striker – who is very much on Man City's radar. If a deal for Kane happens late on in the transfer window (deadline day isn't exactly far away already) and Tottenham are unable to find a suitable replacement, they could be in for a very rough season with the squad reliant on goals from a player no longer in the dressing room. Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy now has a tough decision to make: take £125m+ now, or risk one of Spurs' worst seasons in recent years if a replacement can't be found.
Rivals Arsenal, on the other hand, look like a club rotten from top to bottom, from the boardroom all the way down to the playing staff. Owner Stan Kroenke – who, to be charitable, treats Arsenal as an arms-length subsidiary of his US holding company – has rarely seemed keen to financially invest in the squad and the summer overhaul promised by Arteta after a disappointing 8th placed finish looks less and less like as the transfer window creeps closer.
It's puzzling to many Gunners fans why Arsenal reverted back from a data-driven scouting model and demarcated management structure designed to cushion the logistical blow of Arsene Wenger's departure in favor of a more traditional, agent-based transfer policy. Many blame Director of Football Edu for picking up a number of players from other top clubs that look well past their sell-by date, now costing the club hundreds of thousands every week in wages. The manager himself – who came into the job off the back of a wave of goodwill from the fans and increased his stock significantly by winning the FA Cup almost immediately – looks like he's treading on progressively thinner ice. Initially, Arteta's changes seemed to be working, but after 17 months in the job, calls to 'trust the process' are starting to wane. An opening day defeat to Brentford has not done him any favors.
West Ham might also find themselves underperforming after a quiet transfer window, a fixture list now packed with European fixtures and rumors Declan Rice still might exit the club before the end of the month. If such a situation does materialize, West Ham will be back where they've usually found themselves in recent years – languishing between the unbreakable top eight above and the relegation dog fight below.
Who are the candidates for relegation?
This is a tough one – especially considering Brentford's impressive performance against Arsenal in their opening fixture of the season. Brentford are spending their first-ever season in the Premier League and would typically be touted for the drop. But Brentford seems to have an identity, a purpose, and most importantly, a fantastic striker in Ivan Toney, who scored 31 goals in the Championship last season. fellow new boys Watford also earned a victory in their opening game against Aston Villa and will be hoping they can get some points on the board whilst the top teams are still filling their rosters.
Norwich, on the other hand, has made something of a habit out of yoyoing between the Championship and Premier League and, if their last season in the top flight is anything to go by, they'll be relegated again this season.
Aside from the newly promoted sides, 2021-22 could turn into a tough season for Brighton, who lost star Ben White to Arsenal and haven't really got a goal threat to write home about nor any real quality (bar maybe Yves Bissouma and Lewis Dunk) that suggest a comfortable season is ahead for the Seagulls. They have survived the drop before several times though, and have a team of players who understand what it means to get over the line when it matters. Southampton also looks weak after losing two key players in Jannik Vestergaard and Danny Ings, the defensive and offensive spine of the team, and signing no one really of note.
Enigmatic Leeds meanwhile, are being tipped by some for a top-six finish whilst others think they'll be relegated. Boss Marcelo Bielsa has instilled an exciting brand of high-risk, high-reward football that sees Leeds win 4-0 one week and lose 5-1 the next, and so far it's worked quite well – but whether this level of on-pitch success is sustainable remains to be seen.
