Sean McGrath is the Editor at ProPrivacy.com. A trained journalist, he has worked for some of world’s leading publications and media outlets including ComputerWeekly, the BBC, PC Pro, InformationWeek, Alphr and Silicon.co.uk.
Over the years, he has produced a wide range of content for well-known brands, including Microsoft, Dell EMC and Lenovo. He has contributed to a number of books including “Investigative Journalism: Dead or Alive” in which he outlined practical approaches for journalists looking to enter the world of data journalism.
Sean also contributed to several reports for a multi-nation science and technology research project. Funded by the Coalition Warfare Program, the MoLE project evaluated the capabilities of mobile learning tools to support collaboration in disaster relief zones.
He spent several years working closely with Save the Children and a number of other non-government organisations to raise awareness of the rights of young people and children in armed conflict. He has also worked as a researcher at the BBC for the Inside Out Special Investigation team.
He graduated with a first-class honours in Investigative Journalism & Research. His dissertation focused on UK military recruitment teams targeting low-income areas and won the John Pilger Award for Investigative Journalism.
